Shrines of the South

Travel south for an inspiring spiritual journey to the shrines and places of pilgrimage throughout Alabama.  In Birmingham, Alabama visit EWTN and attend an EWTN live show.  Spend a day of pilgrimage with the Franciscan Missionaries of the Eternal Word and visit the EWTN Chapel.  Continue into the rolling hills of Alabama to Hanceville and spend a day with Poor Clare Nuns at the beautiful Shrine of The Most Blessed Sacrament of Our Lady of the Angels Monastery.  Here the Poor Clare Nuns of Perpetual Adoration keep a constant prayer vigil before the Blessed Sacrament.  Spend two nights at St. Bernard Abbey and join the monks for daily prayer and meals.  Travel into Kentucky and visit the first and most famous Cistercian monastery in the country, the Abbey of Gethsemane.   Enjoy a night in historic Bardstown, Kentucky and visit the Proto-Cathedral of St. Joseph and Sisters of Nazareth.
